Abington Bank donates $42,000 for fuel assistance

Abington, Massachusetts — January 25, 2024

In time for this winter’s home heating season, Abington Bank has donated $42,000 toward local fuel assistance programs for low-income families in seven communities. The donations were made to Self Help Inc. of Brockton and Quincy Community Action Programs, which will administer the funds for fuel assistance to qualifying families in Abington, Avon, Braintree, Brockton, Holbrook, Randolph, and Stoughton.

“We hope this contribution will go far in helping local families in need meet the high cost of heating their homes,” said Abington Bank President and CEO Andrew J. Raczka. “We’re pleased to offer this assistance to our neighbors in need to ensure no family has to go without heat this winter.”

To apply for fuel assistance or to determine if you are eligible, contact Self Help Inc. at 508.588.5440 or Quincy Community Action Programs at 617.479.8181.
